Realtors 2016 Election Results

The election season is over, and the vast majority of candidates endorsed by Florida Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC) won their race.

Major election results

  • Florida Realtors PAC endorsed 26 races for U.S. Congress and 92% of their candidates won their respective race (24 wins, 2 losses, 1 undecided)
  • The PAC endorsed 25 races for the Florida Senate and 92% won their respective race (23 wins, 2 losses)
  • The PAC endorsed 71 races for the Florida House of Representatives and 96% won their respective race (68 wins, 3 losses, 7 undecided)

Florida Constitutional Amendments

  • Amendment 1: “Rights of Electricity Consumers Regarding Solar Energy Choice” failed to meet the required 60% voter support
  • Amendment 2: “Use of Marijuana for Debilitating Medical Conditions” passed with more than 71% of the vote
  • Amendment 3: “Tax Exemption for Totally and Permanently Disabled First Responders” passed with 84%
  • Amendment 5: “Homestead Tax Exemption for Certain Senior, Low-Income, Long-Term Residents; Determination of Just Value” passed with 78%
