Code of Ethics – Have You Taken It Yet?

Posted on by admin_ecar

All Realtors® must take a Code of Ethics course every four years in order to maintain your National Association of Realtors® (NAR) membership.  The current four year period began January 1, 2009 and ends December 31, 2012.  If you have taken Code of Ethics or completed New Member Orientation anytime since January 1, 2009, you are fine.  If you have not, here’s what you need to know:

ECAR will offer opportunities each month to take Code of Ethics in class for CE credit.  Check out the ECAR Class Schedule for upcoming classes.  The next class is October 24 at Point Washington Methodist Church in Walton County.

Realtor.org (the NAR website) offers a free online course that will satisfy the requirement.  No CE credit is offered.

ECAR’s online education partner – The CE Shop – has an online Code of Ethics course that satisfies the requirement AND offers CE credit.

If you have any questions about the Code of Ethics requirement, please contact ECAR Education Director Stephanie White at Stephanie@ecaor.com or 850-243-6145.
