Malware Warning on ECAR Webpage Found to Be Invalid

A few agents have reported seeing a Google Malware warning when they open ECAR’s webpage, EmeraldCoastRealtors.com. The warning is actually pointing to our old website, which uses only an IP address. That site has been thoroughly checked for anything malicious. The entire site has been found clean and safe.

If you go to google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=24.249.253.12 it reports no malware but references the entire class c address space and provides the infected site.  The last paragraphs say the website is not an intermediary and say we are hosting no malicious software.

The website mentioned in the warning is our old webserver and is still used for certain parts of the new website. It’s opened in a regular basis by every ECAR staff member and countless other ECAR users with no ill effect. We believe the warning is coming from a glitch in the Google warning system based on very tight restrictions of what constitutes a malicious website.
