Grievance and Professional Standards
The adherence to the Code of Ethics is taken very seriously at the local, state, and national levels.  The Grievance Committee and the Professional Standards Committee, along with assistance from the Professional Standards Administrator (ECAR staff), follow the Code of Ethics with regards to the complaint process and Arbitration process as outlined by the National Association of Realtors® Code of Ethics. The Grievance and Professional Standards Committees offer a venue for Realtors® to police each other in order to stay in compliance with the Code of Ethics and maintain the reputation of Realtors® throughout the industry.

Free Mediation for ECAR Members
ECAR members have the option to choose Mediation at no cost* in matters that are deemed arbitral by the Grievance Committee. *A travel charge and mediation fee to be equally divided between parties may apply if they opt to select a mediator from another local board.
