Affiliate of the Year
Area Realtor of the Year
- The nominee must be a member in good standing with ECAR.
- Nominee must have three (3) years or more with ECAR.
- Is Nominee involved in local /state political, civic or service organizations. This should also be included, along with local/state charitable, educational, and/or military involvement.
- Nominee must be currently active participant in ECAR serving as an Officer, Director, Chair, Vice Chair, Committee or Task Force Member, attends Annual Meeting(s), participates in and attends ECAR events
- Commercial Nominees: Must have 50% or more business in the Commercial market.
- Property Management Nominees: Must have 50% or more business in property management.

Broker of the Year
The Broker of the Year Award publicly recognizes with pride the Designated REALTOR®, Principal Broker, Broker, or Managing Broker who has distinguished themselves through their exemplary contributions to the profession, their association, the image of REALTORS®, and the community at large. This prestigious award honors an individual who has made a significant and lasting impact in the real estate industry through leadership, ethics, service, and community engagement.
- The nominee must be a Designated REALTOR®, Principal Broker, Broker, or
Managing Broker in good standing with ECAR and demonstrate active
involvement in association activities. The broker must have contributed meaningfully to the profession, their association, and the community within the past three (3) years. - Each franchise office is considered independently of the parent brand for award eligibility.
Distinguished Service
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with ECAR.
- Nominee must have at least 10 years of service with ECAR and MUST have held more than one (1) leadership position – i.e. Officer, Director, Chair or Vice Chair
- Nominee must have been recognized as a local leader whose performance of service and involvement in political and/or community activities is extraordinary. This also includes charitable, educational and military involvement.
- This award will NOT be awarded posthumously.
Humanitarian of the Year
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with ECAR.
- Nominee, by way of example, is a role model for other Realtor members.
- Nominee should freely give of their time and talents to one or more organization via civic and/or fraternal organizations this includes charitable, educational and military involvement.
- Nominee should have volunteered many hours of service and commitment on a continuous basis and provides “hands-on” involvement to one or more specific causes, or have monetarily contributed.
- Nominee must have been a member of ECAR for at least three (3) years. Nominee, by way of example, is a role model for other Realtor members.
Kerry Kelly Education Excellence Award
This award is dedicated to someone who is like Kerry Kelly and believes in the power of education and has served as an ECAR leader.
Nominee must be a member in good standing with ECAR.
Newcomer of the Year
- Nominee must have three (3) years or less of experience in the real estate industry.
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with ECAR.
- Nominees will be judged on their contributions to ECAR by attending events and being a committee member.
- Nominee must possess ethics and spirit of cooperation as exhibited by faithfulness to the principles of organized real estate Association Bylaws and Code of Ethics.
- Nominee participation in community service via civic and/or fraternal organizations may be considered. This includes charitable, educational and military involvement showing any offices or chairmanships held.
